Liquid waterproofing specialist Kemper System will be exhibiting at Ecobuild for the first time this year (Stand S2016) as part of a strategic marketing communications drive to educate the marketplace about its eco-friendly and effective roofing solutions.
The move follows the growing success of the company’s innovative Kemperol 2K-PUR solvent-free system, the first solvent-free wet-on-wet cold liquid waterproofing system available on the UK market. Based on an 80% castor-oil formulation derived from sustainable sources, the liquid system also incorporates a flexible non-woven fleece manufactured using a 25% recycled plastic bottle content. Offered with a 20-year warranty, the ground-breaking system offers exceptional, durable waterproofing, that bonds to almost any substrate to create a totally seamless, monolithic, U/V stable, elastomeric membrane that cannot delaminate. Kemperol 2K-PUR offers an effective solution for both new builds and refurbishment projects. As it is solvent and fume-free there is no need to evacuate occupied buildings, allowing work to continue without disruption. The waterproofing system can be applied on top of most existing roofing material – so can even help to prevent excessive waste being sent to landfill.
Kemper System’s stand will offer visitors an opportunity to watch video demonstrations of how the system is applied and see the results on recent high profile projects including London’s Guildhall. There will also be a number of display areas where visitors to the stand will be able to view samples of the cured product to experience first hand the flexibility and durability it offers. And they will also be able to learn more about its suitability for a wide variety of applications including a root resistant base for green roofs and living wall projects and a waterproofing material for wind turbines.
Alongside the Kemperol 2K-PUR system, Kemper System will also be exhibiting its Stratex Warm Roof System; a completely integrated warm roof system that incorporates primers, vapour barrier, insulation and waterproofing with a range of optional surfacing. Featuring a rigid PIR insulation board with a unique tongue and groove interlocking joint, the system significantly reduces cold bridging and gives a much smoother surface finish.
Comments managing director of Kemper System, Harry Cowell: “We are delighted to be exhibiting at Ecobuild for the first time this year and our presence at the show is the culmination of a long-standing commitment to supporting environmental and sustainable goals for many years. We are constantly striving to find the best ways to incorporate renewable and eco-friendly materials in our products without compromising on performance and we’ve been using recycled plastics in our fleece for many years. With the launch of 2K-PUR and the development of the Stratex system, we are now able to combine that philosophy with innovative products that have enabled us to make a difference to sustainable specification and develop new market opportunities in green roofs, living walls and renewable energy. We look forward to welcoming visitors onto our stand.”
